Recipes

Not only do we like to travel and play killer music, we enjoy great food and drinks as well.  Often business meetings or rehearsal winds up with the band cooking something at the end of the day.  Here are just a few of our favorite recipes.  Some of these involve handling of raw meat or eggs, so be sure to practice safe food handling techniques as you prepare these treats.  Try them at home, camping, at the cabin, at your friend’s house, on your boat, in your RV, well you get the picture….

> Robbo’s Jerk Style Buffalo Wings

  • 2 ½ pounds chicken wings
  • ½ cup Franks Red Hot Sauce
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp Jerk seasoning (try 2 Tbsp is you like it hotter)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ¼ cup beer
  1. Deep Fry wings for 12-15 minutes at 400 degrees F or Bake at 425 degrees F for one hour.
  2. Melt Butter in a sauce pan.  Stir in all other ingredients.  Bring to slight boil, then immediately reduce heat.  Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat.
  3. Place wings and sauce in a sealable plastic container.  Gently shake to coat wings.  Serve with bleu cheese dressing and celery sticks.

> Rigoni Burger

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup India Pale Ale (or a beer of your choice)

  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ¼ cup minced garlic
  • ¼ cup minced onion
  • 1 tsp black peppe
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp A1 steak sauce
  • 1 tsp Franks Red Hot sauce
  • 1 small drop of yellow mustard
  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Form into standard size hamburger patties.  BBQ until hamburger in center of patties is done to your liking.  Serve “as is” with no extra toppings on your favorite bun, or with a slice of melted colby/jack cheese and some sautéed Walla Walla onion.

> Robbo’s NY Strips

  • 4 large NY Strip Steaks
  • 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup India Pale Ale (or a beer of your choice)
  • 1 heaping Tbsp bay leaves
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup minced garlic
  • ¼ cup minced onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • A dash of Franks Red Hot sauce
  1. Place steaks in a sealable plastic container.  Add all ingredients and shake gently to coat meat evenly.  Allow to marinate for 12-18 hours.  Grill steaks to your liking.  Enjoy “as is” or topped with sautéed Walla Walla onions and/or mushrooms.
